Delicious cake in a nostalgic ambience

I had an appointment here on Sunday 04.10.20 with friends for coffee and cake. The cakes are very tasty and absolutely recommendable. I will deduct the very long waiting time. There were also not enough blankets available for outside (unfortunately everything inside was occupied). In addition, only one operator worked that day, which was simply not enough for the number of customers. I don't know that from this café.

By far the worst sundae I've eaten in my life. (I'm 42) For 7.50 euros you can get canned fruit. At the next table a lady wanted to adjust the parasol a little so that she had more shade. The waitress said only the screens can not be adjusted. It would have been easy to fulfill the lady's wish, but she was then allowed to sit in the sun.

Now honestly ... it's really nice there. Such a nice stroll through the city center in Schwäbisch Gmünd and then sitting there comfortably and drinking a little coffee ... and for the Margret sections I would kill 😂

I am very disappointed. Was there with a somewhat more corpulent older lady who unfortunately didn't fit in one of the chairs set up outside. When asked if we could take a chair outside with us, we would be treated very clumsy and unfriendly. Find something like this is not available today!

Was great as always and my little son enjoyed his white sausages and the cheese cream cake!

Old fashioned cafe known well by the locals. Cosy seating and atmosphere. A little pricey for the cakes considering they were average tasting, but the coffee tasted great.
